Warrensburg, MO - The Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) Auxiliary recently awarded the 2008 Health Career Scholarships. This year's recipients each received a $500 scholarship to the school of their choice.
Winners were chosen from applicants enrolled or entering a health career program or field of study. To fund the scholarship, the WMMC Auxiliary volunteers operate the Wishing Well Gift Shop, hold fundraising events and accept memorial gifts.
Taylor Elwell is a 2008 graduate of Leeton High School and will be attending Truman State University seeking a degree in Exercise Science/Pre-Med. Carolina Vega is a 2008 graduate of Warrensburg High School and will be attending the University of Missouri-Columbia to pursue her nursing degree. Laura Johannigmeier from Appleton City is currently enrolled in BSN program at University of Central Missouri. Anya A. Horodna is also currently enrolled in BSN-RN program at the University of Central Missouri.

Jamie Michelle Ring, a 2008 graduate of Kingsville High School, plans to attend the University of Central Missouri Nursing program. Nicole White from Holden plans to pursue her LPN certification at the Warrensburg Area Career Center.
Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) is a fully-accredited acute care facility located in Warrensburg, Missouri.
