Department Breaks Record

Warrensburg, MO - The past several years, the "record" number of births for any one month in the Obstetrics Department at Western Missouri Medical Center (WMMC) was 81 - even with 2007 being a record-breaking year with 872 births. Last month, the record number of monthly births was broken, reaching 88! The record-breaking baby - "number 82" - was Hannah Godfrey, daughter of Meagan and Bryan of Knob Noster, born on May 29, 2008, at 9:20 a.m.
Delivered by midwife Connie Johnson, CNM, Hannah is the couple's first baby. Kathy Harrison, RN, was the labor and delivery nurse for baby Hannah. Connie and Kathy are two of the many experienced and caring staff at WMMC, who embrace the miracle of life and offer a family-centered approach to our new mothers.
